Evaluation
To determine if glasses or contacts are right for you, we’ll first perform an eye exam. During this exam, we can determine your refraction, or glasses prescription. We’ll also take measurements of the size and curvature of the eye. Our team will ask about medications you’re on and any other health information we may need.
Contact Lens Fittings
With the measurements that we take of your refraction and corneal surface, we’ll ensure that you receive the right size and shape of contact lenses for your needs. We’ll also look at your tear film (where the contact lenses sit in the eye) to determine if your eyes aren’t too dry for contacts.
From there, we’ll place trial lenses on your eyes and ask you how they feel when you blink, look around, and close your eyes.
Once your contact lenses fit correctly, we’ll give you instructions on how best to care for your lenses for proper eye hygiene.
